Privacy policy

We don't track you

A site about privacy should respect yours. This policy explains, in plain English, what happens to your data when you read Tor Browser Guide. The short version: we collect as little as technically possible, and we don't use any of it to follow you around.

Effective date: October 7, 2026

Summary

The short version

No analytics. No advertising. No tracking pixels. No accounts, sign-ups, or comment forms. No data sold or shared for marketing. Our fonts and scripts are served from our own server, not from Google or other third parties. The only data processed is what any website needs to deliver pages and stay protected from attacks.

What we collect

  • Server logs

Like nearly every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information about each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type (user agent), and the referring page. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, such as diagnosing errors or blocking attacks, and are kept for a limited time. If you read this site through the Tor Browser, the IP address we see belongs to a Tor exit relay, not to you.

  • Nothing else

We don't run analytics tools (no Google Analytics or similar), we don't use advertising or social-media tracking, and we don't ask for your name, email, or any other personal information.

Security and delivery: Cloudflare

Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security network. Cloudflare processes requests to the site so pages load quickly and attacks are filtered out. As part of its bot protection, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie such as __cf_bm, which helps tell people apart from automated bots. According to Cloudflare, it expires after 30 minutes of inactivity and is not used to track you across websites. Cloudflare may also collect network error reports to monitor reliability. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies ourselves. The only cookie you may receive is the strictly necessary security cookie from Cloudflare described above. Because there are no advertising or analytics cookies, there's no cookie banner to click through. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and the site will still work.

Children, changes, and your rights

This site is not directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because we don't hold profiles or accounts, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to access, correct, or delete beyond short-lived server logs. If we ever change how data is handled, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
